About Me
Welcome! I’m Jason Pittman, a passionate educator, artist and lifelong learner dedicated to transforming the way we teach and engage with students. With over three decades of experience in education, I have had the privilege of working on numerous innovative projects that bring real-world experiences and hands-on learning to the forefront of education.
My journey began in Washington, D.C., where I was recognized as an Elementary Science Teacher of the Year. This recognition led me to become a part of National Geographic’s Jason Project, where I had the incredible opportunity to explore the world alongside renowned scientists and bring those adventures back to my students.
In Silicon Valley, I worked closely with Salman Khan at Khan Academy, developing transformative educational tools and resources. My passion for innovative education continued with my involvement in projects like RAFT, Project Ember, MCAET and the Monterey County Office of Education, where I implemented cutting-edge ideas to enhance public school education.
Throughout my career, I’ve been committed to addressing systemic issues in education, such as overpopulated classrooms, ineffective policies, and the detrimental influence of politics on public education. By sharing my experiences and insights, I aim to inspire change and support educators in creating more meaningful and impactful learning experiences for their students.
Join me on this journey as we explore innovative ways to make education more engaging, inclusive, and effective for all students. Together, we can build a brighter future for education.
